Yabodoo is built around discretion. We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need to, and never sell it. This policy explains what we hold and why.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email, date of birth), your private profile photo, your live Today photo, and any event or venue you have joined. We also process your location while you are discovering — to show you people nearby, to confirm you have arrived at a venue, and to power SOS.
How we use it
To show you people in the same room, to verify that profiles are real, to keep the community safe, and to send you the alerts you ask for. We never use your data to profile you for advertising.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, we do not show your interest to anyone until it is mutual, and we do not put your Today photo on the open internet. One-sided interest is never revealed to the other person.
Who can see your photos
Your Today photo is only visible to people discovering near you while your session is active, and it clears at the daily reset. Your profile photo is for your account and safety only — it is never shown to other people.
Face photos and liveness
When you verify your account and when you take your daily Today photo, Yabodoo captures a live photograph of your face with the camera (never from your photo library). To confirm a real person is present and to prevent spoofing with a printed photo or a screen, your device runs a liveness check entirely on your device: the camera frames used for that check never leave your device, and its only output is a pass/fail result that we do not store. We do not create, use, share, or store any facial-recognition template, face scan, faceprint, face embedding, or other biometric identifier, and we do not use facial recognition to identify you. Face photos are never sold or shared with third parties, and no third-party face-recognition service is used. Your Today photo is deleted at the daily reset; your verification selfie and profile photo are kept only while your account is active and are deleted when you delete your account, within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer.
