Privacy
Your privacy, in plain words.
Last updated 1 July 2026
Yabodoo is built around discretion. We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need to, and never sell it. This policy explains what we hold and why.
What we collect
Your account details (name, email, date of birth), the photos you add to your gallery, your live Today photo, and the venue you are checked into. We also process approximate location to confirm you are at a venue and to power SOS.
How we use it
To show you people in the same room, to verify that profiles are real, to keep the community safe, and to send you the alerts you ask for. We never use your data to profile you for advertising.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, we do not show your interest to anyone until it is mutual, and we do not put your Today photo on the open internet. One-sided interest is never revealed to the other person.
Who can see your photos
Your Today photo is only visible to people inside the same venue during an active session, and it is removed at the end of the night. Gallery photos are shown on your profile to people you have matched with.
How long we keep it
Today photos expire at 3am or when you leave a venue. Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us. See our data protection page for how to exercise these rights.
