Meeting in person should feel calm, not risky. Safety, privacy and dignity are built into how Yabodoo works — not bolted on later. Here is what that means in practice.
How we keep it safe
Mutual-only, so there is no rejection
Your interest is never shown to anyone until they have independently shown interest in you. Nothing is broadcast, nobody is told they were passed over.
In the room, not on a feed
You only ever see people who are physically around you right now — in a venue you have joined, or simply nearby. There is no global swipe deck, and your Today photo clears at the daily reset.
SOS in one tap
One tap starts a five-second countdown, then alerts your trusted contacts and shares your live location with them, with a check-in timer. Your local emergency number sits on the same screen, one tap away.
Real people, verified
A live selfie confirms a real person rather than a photo of a photo. The check runs on your own device — the frames never leave your phone — and verified profiles earn a gold check.
Report anyone, any time
Every card carries a report button, before or after a match. Matches stay reportable for 48 hours, and anything older — or about someone not in your matches — goes to our safety team as a detailed report.
You stay in control
Nothing is shared while you are not discovering — end a session and you stop broadcasting entirely. Your profile photo is never shown to anyone, and notifications only ever fire for mutual green matches and safety alerts, never for one-sided interest.
Safety is never a premium feature
SOS, trusted contacts and the direct line to emergency services are always free and never behind a paywall. Safety is the product, not an upsell.
